The current rates of the National Minimum Wage were introduced on 01 October 2013.
The standard rate of the National Minimum Wage is £6.31 per hour (up from £6.19 per hour). This rate applies to all employees aged 21 and over.
The minimum wage rate for employees aged between 18 and 20 years old is £5.03 per hour (up from £4.98 per hour).
The minimum wage rate for employees aged 16 and 17 is £3.72 per hour (up from £3.68 per hour).
