Fees & Payment

Fees

We offer a fixed fee service for our clients’ basic annual accounts, payroll, bookkeeping and taxation work. This fee will be quoted in advance of work being carried out for our new clients.

Our initial meeting with all new clients is always free of charge and our fixed fee incorporates telephone calls, e-mails and meetings we expect to receive over the course of the year.

For special or extra work we calculate the fee based on an hourly rate for each staff member who carries out the work.

We will give clients a quote for extra work where ever possible. The main exception to this is for HMRC enquiries as it can be difficult to gauge how long they will take to resolve.

It is difficult to give a guide on this website as to our fee levels for accounts preparation. The number of transactions we have to process and the type and quality of your bookkeeping will have an impact on the fee.

If you would like a quote for your accounts preparation please contact us and once we have some basic information regarding your business and bookkeeping system we will be able to offer a quote.

Our payroll fees start at £5 per week for weekly payroll or £10 per month for monthly payroll work. Our fees for self assessment tax returns start from £50.

All fees quoted are subject to VAT at 17½%.

 

Payment Terms

Our payment terms are strictly 30 days net from date of invoice.

We must insist you adhere to our payment terms for the benefit of all parties.

We issue our invoices on the completion of each stage in our work, draft management accounts for example or monthly or quarterly for payroll and bookkeeping work.

 

 

Payment Methods

Interest Free Monthly Standing Order
Our preferred payment method is for clients to pay for all of their annual accountancy fees by interest free monthly standing order.

This helps both our cash flows as clients do not have to pay for their services in one payment, and we know when fees are being paid. This ensures continuation of service to our clients and the best possible business relationship.

If your total annual fee is less than £750 including VAT you can setup your standing order payment for one month after the invoice date. Therefore you will only start to pay for work once it has been completed.

If your total annual fees exceed £750 including VAT we ask for standing order payment to start as we commence your work. Again you will not be asked to pay for work before we start that work.

If you are an existing client who does not pay by monthly interest free standing order, and you see the benefits of switching to this payment method, please contact us for details.


Bacs
If you wish to pay by Bacs or other online payment method please contact us for our bank details.

Bacs payments must be received within 30 days of the date of invoice as per our terms and conditions.


Cheque
We will also accept payment of our fees by cheque payable to C Todd & Co.

Cheque payments must be received within 30 days of the date of invoice as per our terms and conditions.


Credit Card
We do not have facilities at this time to accept credit card payments.

However we can accept payment by Paypal but this is subject to an administration fee.
