Compliance Services

We provide a wide range of compliance services to support all aspects of business administration.

We will ensure your accounts are prepared in the correct format, taking account of all changes in legislation, taxation, filing requirements and current reporting standards.

We have invested in the Iris suite of business software for accountancy practices which we feel best compliments our services.

With this software we are able to plan our work and keep full control over it, to ensure all of your statutory deadlines are met.

The latest addition to our business software is a company secretarial module.

This software enables us to maintain your statutory books, ensure your directors and share registers are kept up-to-date, and that all statutory returns are prepared.

Our experienced team will relieve you of the regulatory burden and leave you more time to concentrate on the profitable areas of your business.

We will assist you in maintaining the correct accounting and business records, ensure you are aware of all of the important dates in the financial calendar, and ensure that all returns are submitted in a timely manner.

We are registered with H M Revenue and Customs and Companies House as agents for online filing of all accounts, payroll, tax and VAT returns.

We have adopted online filing as our method of submitting accounts and tax returns to HMRC and Companies House. Online filing provides instant confirmation of successful submissions to eliminate the uncertainty of postal deliveries.

In the near future online filing will become compulsory, but there is no need to wait for that time before taking advantage of the benefits of the service.

We issue regular monthly newsletters by e-mail to keep you informed of all of the latest business news and taxation updates. It is therefore important for you to provide us with your e-mail address to ensure you do not miss out on this important service.

Annual Accounts

It is a requirement for all businesses of any size and status to prepare accounts on an annual basis for taxation purposes.

The accounts of a business will comprise a Profit and Loss Account and a Balance Sheet.

The Profit and Loss Account shows the profit or loss of the business for the year under review.

The Balance Sheet summarises the assets and liabilities of the business on the last day of the accounting year.

Limited company businesses have to prepare an additional set of accounts to be kept on public record at Companies House.

We can prepare the accounts for any type of business in any business sector.

Together with preparing annual accounts for tax purposes we can also prepare accounts for a variety of other purposes:

  • Accounts on a monthly, quarterly or half yearly basis for management purposes
  • Preparation of profit projections
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts

 

Payroll

Running a payroll system can be time consuming and complicated and divert resources from the core activities of your business. We can address this by installing payroll software and training your staff.

Outsourcing this activity to ourselves will relieve you of this pressure altogether.

We are able to provide the complete payroll service, whatever the size or complexity of your business.

We offer a fully computerised payroll solution issuing a variety of payroll reports to suit your individual requirements.

We also offer a choice of payslips, by post and e-mail, including a security sealed payslip to maintain privacy.

Our software also allows reports to be saved as pdf documents which can easily be e-mailed to reduce costs and help the environment.

Our payroll service includes the calculation of the monthly PAYE payment, the preparation of the year end P35 Employers Annual Return and the employee forms P60.

We are registered with H M Revenue and Customs as an agent for online filing of all payroll forms and returns.

This is an important feature as the Government moves towards compulsory online filing of all payroll forms and returns, including P45’s, P46’s, P60’s and year end Employers Annual Return form P35.

Bookkeeping

We can assist with all your general bookkeeping requirements, either at your offices or ours.

You may require help to write up your books or you may need us to add the finishing touches to information you have prepared in order to create monthly or quarterly management reports.

If you do not employ a bookkeeper we can take up the role for you or we can help you recruit the right person for your business.

We can assist in the development of a bookkeeping system to suit your requirements, using either computerised or hand written systems.

Any bookkeeping system we introduce, or maintain for you, will be tailored to suit your individual requirements.

This could be by using a simple pre printed cash book, for example a Simplex or Evrite cash book, or by a cash book designed specifically for your business.

We can also offer computerised bookkeeping systems by either using a spreadsheet design or off the shelf computer bookkeeping and accounts software, for example Sage, QuickBooks or Iris bookkeeping.
